As of this week, I have had two audition requests that came to me through IMDb. The first one was about 4 months ago from a casting director in LA. They were looking for someone to act in a short film for the American Film Institute and wanted me to audition for one of the lead roles. The second came through my agency from a casting director in the UK that was looking at pitching me to her client to play the main antagonist in a feature film. Both of them found me through IMDb.
If you have an IMDb with credits, make sure you have the pro version and make sure everything is updated and filled out. Mine has my headshots, screen captures from film projects, my clips from films and all my personal info, my agent, my manager and my profile fully filled out.
Oh, and you can also search for casting calls on IMDb Pro.
