As of yesterday I have 5 upcoming projects booked that were all acquired through networking.

Summer’s End and Cryptoheist (lead roles) – I used to go to Film Bar Mondays regularly. At the first one I met a writer, Arken Wheeler. We became fast friends and since, he has put my in every project he has written/filmed.
Stuntgirl (supporting) – I did a small role at the beginning of my career that was someone’s self made reel. I am still in contact with many actors and the DP. The DP contacted me through Instagram and told me about this project. I emailed them my resume, headshots and reel and got a small part and am one of the stuntmen for the feature film.
Social Media Troll (lead) – I have let actors come over to my house and use my self tape equipment since I arrived in ATL in January. I also read for them, edit the tapes and help with the tips and pointers if wanted. One of the actors that has been using my self tape room wrote a short film and asked me to be the lead.
Zombunnies – I met a writer through my facebook posts and he contacted me about 6 months ago. We have been messaging since and he has always said he wanted me to be in one of his projects. His lead actor had a scheduling conflict and he asked me to audition for the lead role. The lead was a woman, but he changed the character gender after he saw my audition. Zombunnies is based on his webcomic.
Networking isn’t always fast, networking is a lot of work and networking doesn’t always result in a role, but out of the 29 roles I have booked. At least 10 of them were strictly from networking. That is 10 opportunities (1/3) that I would never have had if I didn’t network.
