One thing I have learned in my 52 years of life is that no one is a self made person. Everyone has help in some way or another.
That’s why it is important to surround yourself with quality people who add value to your life. They say that you are an amalgamation of the people you surround yourself and spend your time with. Luckily, this is one aspect of your life you can control.
Between acting classes and networking, I have been able to surround myself with quality people who not only support my dream of becoming an actor, but have the same dream and drive as myself.
They take out time in their busy schedules to help me tape auditions, run lines with me, give me notes on my scenes, motivate me to move forward and much much more. And in return, I do the same to the best of my ability.
I found that with my circle of friends, I have been able to do more and progress quickly while they have done the same.
